How to fix iPhone 11 Pro overheating issues

Whenever you notice that your phone is getting hot, before doing anything you should let it cool off first.

Solution 1: Remove the case

Do you have an iPhone case? If you do, remove it. Do this before going any further.

Solution 2: Restart your phone

A restart is something you should definitely do next. Turn off your phone, leave it like that for a minute and turn it back on. It will clear the memory, and it will close a bunch of apps and processes that keep running in the background. The phone will perform a lot better.

Solution 3: Background activity

Apps may act differently. Some may do fine, others can have a huge impact on the battery. Usually, the apps that have an impact on the battery can be the ones to blame for overheating. Once you see how to apps behave, you can turn off Background activity for each or for all. Go to Settings > Battery > Background activity.

Solution 4: Apps

Smartphones are what they are because of the apps. Without apps, they wouldn’t be so fun as they are, right?

First, you need to make sure the apps on your phone are up to date. Open App Store and update the apps.

Another important thing is to delete the apps you don’t use. When you buy a new phone, you install whatever comes on your mind, because you want to try it all. After a while, you will notice that you are using only a few apps on a daily bases. If that’s the case, remove the apps you no longer use. Head to the Home screen, and find an app you wish to remove. Tap and hold its icon, and then tap X that will show up. Tap Delete app.

Solution 5: Software update

Software updates improve the performance of your phone, and they also fix the bugs users might be experiencing. That is why you should update the software regularly. Go to Settings > General > Software update. Tap Download and install.

Solution 6: Reset all settings

You can reset all settings and restore them back to factory defaults. Here is how:

  • Go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset all settings
  • Enter your passcode
  • Tap Reset all settings.

Solution 7: Erase all content and settings

A factory reset can do the trick because you’ll set up your phone as a new device and you will give your device a fresh start sort to speak. Back up your files first.

  • Go to Settings > General > Reset > Erase all content and settings
  • Enter your passcode
  • Tap Erase iPhone.

This may take a while. When it is done, set up your phone as a new device following the on-screen steps.
