The Galaxy Watch 4 by Samsung received a very good response from the consumers. Now, everybody is looking forward to what the Galaxy Watch 5 will offer. The smartwatch, which is expected to be launched towards the latter half of the year, is being keenly awaited by Samsung fans.

The Galaxy Watch 4, as one would remember, was launched in two different models, the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic and the vanilla Galaxy Watch 4. The Classic model featured a rotating bezel that caught the fancy of many users. This particular feature was also a part of the Galaxy Watch 3 that came out in 2020. The rotating bezel enabled users to go through the different menus present on the smartwatch conveniently.

As per a report published in Sammobile, the upcoming Galaxy Watch 5 will not have a Classic variant. According to the report, Samsung is planning to launch two smartwatch variants in the form of the Galaxy Watch 5 and the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro. The report, however, does not specify whether these models will come with a rotating bezel or not.

The report also states that the standard Galaxy Watch 5 could be offered to consumers in two sizes. The Galaxy Watch 5 Pro, meanwhile, will arrive in just one size. The smartwatch is said to feature a new version of One UI that would be closely based on Wear OS 3. Interestingly, Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic happen to be the first smartwatches in the world to operate on the Wear OS.

The same report claims that the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 will have larger-sized batteries for the 40mm and 44mm variants. The report also makes a mention of a certification provided by Safety Korea that confirms that the Galaxy Watch 5 will come equipped with a 276mAh battery. The 44mmm variant, on the other hand, will have a 397mAh battery.

One of the other interesting pieces of information one has come across regarding the upcoming smartwatch is that Samsung has plans to integrate a temperature sensor in the device.
